NICK'S MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

Welcome to our fresh market update for the month of July! Despite the chilly winter weather, there is plenty to celebrate in the produce department.

Fruit Update

One of the highlights this season is the arrival of strawberries. The Queensland season is in full swing, and this year’s crop is truly exceptional. The strawberries are plump, rich red, and bursting with sweetness and juiciness. As more supply enters the market, the prices have dropped significantly, making these delightful fruits an excellent choice to brighten up your days during this cold season.

In addition to strawberries, we have another citrus gem to offer: Cara Cara Oranges. These oranges are incredibly juicy and pack a flavourful punch, not to mention the abundance of vitamin C they provide. If you’re looking for something a little more unique, we’re thrilled to announce the arrival of the first Blood Oranges. These tangy yet sweet fruits are truly a treat for the taste buds. One of our favourite ways to enjoy them is in Blood Orange Margaritas. Drop by our store to learn the secret recipe!

Veg Update

Just like the winter fruits, the vegetable selection continues to impress with its quality and affordability. Leafy greens such as Kale and Silverbeet are fresh and packed with nutritional goodness, making them perfect additions to your hearty soups and stews. Local Broccoli bunches are still available but won’t be around for much longer, so be sure to grab them while they last. And if you’re looking to add depth and flavour to your winter meals, we have a range of root vegetables in store, including Parsnips, Swedes, and Celeraic.

With all these vibrant and nourishing options available, our fresh market is brimming with delightful choices for you to enjoy. Shop with us in store or online now!
